Magnetic moon hide for jumping spiders

A small moon as a retreat for your jumping spider.

The magnetic SpoodScapes moon hide brings a lovingly designed lunar landscape into your terrarium. The lavender-colored surface with its detailed craters pairs beautifully with our Luna theme world and pastel-colored furnishings.

The hemispherical cave offers a protected interior with a round opening at the front. Two integrated magnets and the included counter-magnets allow it to be attached to a suitable glass or acrylic wall.

The moon hide in detail

Protected retreat

The hollow interior offers your jumping spider a place to retreat and build a web. The round opening at the front allows access to the cave.

Before use, check whether the entrance opening and interior are suitable for the size of your animal.

Magnetic attachment

Two neodymium rod magnets are integrated into the flat back. The included counter-magnets are placed on the outside of the terrarium wall and hold the moon hide in place from the opposite side.

The holding power depends, among other things, on the material and thickness of the terrarium wall. Check that the hide is held securely before introducing your animal.

Placement in the upper terrarium area

The moon hide can be attached in a suitable spot in the upper part of the terrarium. Combine it with easily accessible platforms or climbing elements to make access to the cave easier.

Choose a position that still allows you to open and maintain the terrarium without having to move the hide.

Moon craters in soft lavender

The textured surface reflects the crater landscape of the moon. The soft lavender tone complements our Luna theme world and can be combined with the Saturn platform, a rocket, or other space accessories.

Usage

• Select a suitable glass or acrylic wall that is accessible from the inside and outside.
• Hold the moon hide in the desired position in the terrarium.
• Carefully bring the external counter-magnets into place.
• Check that the cave is seated firmly and the entrance remains freely accessible.
• Keep ventilation openings and moving parts of the terrarium clear.
• Support the moon hide with your hand when removing the external counter-magnets.

Care and cleaning

• Clean the hide gently with lukewarm water and a soft, non-abrasive microfiber cloth.
• Do not use rough cloths, scouring pads, or hard brushes.
• Do not use acetone, solvents, alcohol-based cleaners, or aggressive chemicals.
• Do not use hot or boiling water.
• Do not clean the product in the dishwasher.
• Let the hide dry completely after cleaning and check the attachment before using it again.

Important notes

Suitable size and attachment

The outer diameter alone does not determine whether the cave is suitable for your animal. The size of the entrance and the interior must also be appropriate.

Only attach the hide to a wall where the magnets provide sufficient support. Additional backgrounds or decorations between the magnets and the terrarium wall can reduce the holding power.

Heat and sunlight

PLA is heat-sensitive and can deform in excessive heat. Keep the moon hide away from direct sunlight, heat lamps, radiators, hot surfaces, and open flames.

Product safety

This product is intended as a terrarium accessory for appropriately sized invertebrates, such as jumping spiders. It is not a toy.

• Keep away from small children.
• Contains small magnets. These must not be swallowed.
• Bring the magnetic sides together carefully so that they do not snap against each other uncontrollably.
• Check the hide regularly for cracks, sharp edges, damage, and loose magnets.
• Do not use the product if parts are damaged or magnets come loose.
• Check for secure attachment before use and after every repositioning.
• Ensure that your animal can enter and leave the cave without difficulty.

Manufacturing notes

Due to the 3D printing process, fine layer lines, seams, or slight surface deviations may be visible. These are a normal part of the manufacturing process.

The actual color may vary slightly from the product images. Screen display, lighting, and different material batches can influence color perception.
