The SpoodScapes tree trunk hide combines a branched climbing structure with a cave inside. Twisted roots, distinct bark textures, and small branch extensions give the tree the look of an old, weathered forest trunk.

Your jumping spider can reach the hollow interior through the front knot-hole opening. Outside, the trunk and branches offer additional surfaces for climbing and exploring. In this way, the tree adds both a retreat and various elevated spots to your enclosure setup.

Cave interior

The knot-hole opening leads into a sheltered interior that your jumping spider can use as a retreat and for spinning its web. Whether and how your animal uses the hide depends on its individual preferences.

Climbing on multiple levels

The textured surface, twisted roots, and branch extensions create various paths along the trunk. The tree can be combined with other climbing elements, platforms, or a suspension bridge.

Detailed forest look

The brown coloring and the distinct wood and bark structure are reminiscent of an old tree trunk. This makes the hide a perfect fit for forest-themed habitats and other naturalistic terrarium setups.

The tree is made of 3D-printed PLA with a wood finish.

For placement

The sprawling root base forms the tree's stable footing. Place it on a solid surface and check that it stands securely. On loose substrate, you must pay special attention to ensuring it is stable and tip-proof.

Usage

• Choose a suitable spot on the terrarium floor.
• Place the tree so that the root base rests securely and cannot tip over.
• Keep the entrance opening clear and easily accessible.
• Allow sufficient space from the terrarium opening and any moving parts.
• Position supplementary climbing elements to suit the size and agility of your animal.
• Check the stability after every change to the setup.

Care and cleaning

• Carefully clean the empty hide with lukewarm water and a soft microfiber cloth.
• Remove visible dirt from the accessible areas of the interior as well.
• Do not use scouring pads, hard brushes, or sharp-edged tools.
• Do not use acetone, solvents, alcohol-based cleaners, or aggressive chemicals.
• Do not use hot or boiling water.
• Do not clean the hide in the dishwasher.
• Allow it to dry completely after cleaning before putting it back.

Important notes

Appropriate size and stability

Choose a hide that is appropriate for the size of your animal. External dimensions alone do not indicate how much space is available inside. Set up the tree so that it can neither tip over nor fall on your animal.

Heat and sunlight

PLA is heat-sensitive and can deform if it gets too hot. Keep the hide away from direct sunlight, heat lamps, radiators, hot surfaces, and open flames.

Product safety

This product is intended as a hide and climbing accessory for suitable small invertebrates, such as jumping spiders. It is not a toy.

• Keep away from small children.
• Regularly check the tree for cracks, damaged branch extensions, and loose parts.
• Discontinue use if the product is damaged or has sharp, broken edges.
• Check that the tree stands securely before introducing your animal.
• Avoid applying pressure to the branch extensions and other delicate areas.
