The magnetic SpoodScapes acorn hide adds a protected retreat to your jumping spider terrarium. The textured acorn cap and smooth acorn body bring a lovely forest detail to your enclosure.

With the integrated neodymium magnets and the included counter-magnet, the cave can be attached to suitable glass or acrylic walls. This allows you to offer an additional resting place even in the upper area of your terrarium.

Protected retreat

The enclosed interior offers your jumping spider a place to retreat and rest. Through the front opening, it can enter the cave and use the interior for its web.

Whether and how your animal accepts the hide depends on its individual preferences.

Elevated resting place

The magnetic attachment allows for placement in the upper area of the terrarium. Combine the acorn hide with suitable platforms or climbing paths so the entrance remains easily accessible.

Magnetic attachment

The integrated neodymium magnets hold the hide against a suitable terrarium wall together with the external counter-magnet. Glue, tape, or suction cups are not required for this.

The hold depends on the wall thickness and the nature of the terrarium wall. Before use, check whether the hide is securely attached.

Detailed acorn shape

The textured cap and two-tone acorn body fit forest-themed worlds, playful miniature landscapes, and naturalistic terrariums. The hide is made of 3D-printed PLA in an acorn look.

Usage

• Choose a suitable spot on a glass or acrylic wall.
• Place the hide on the inside and the counter-magnet on the outside of the terrarium wall.
• Carefully bring both parts together and check for a secure hold.
• Keep the entrance opening clear and easily accessible.
• Ensure that the terrarium opening and ventilation surfaces remain clear.
• Check the attachment again after each repositioning.

Care and cleaning

• Clean the unoccupied hide carefully with lukewarm water and a soft microfiber cloth.
• Do not use scouring pads, hard brushes, or sharp-edged tools.
• Do not use acetone, solvents, alcohol-based cleaners, or aggressive chemicals.
• Do not use hot or boiling water.
• Do not clean the hide in the dishwasher.
• Let it dry completely after cleaning before putting it back in.

Important notes

Suitable size

Choose a hide appropriate for the body size of your animal. External dimensions alone do not indicate how much space is available inside.

Heat and sunlight

PLA is heat-sensitive and can deform when subjected to high temperatures. Keep the hide away from direct sunlight, heat lamps, radiators, hot surfaces, and open fire.

Product safety

This product is intended as a terrarium hide for suitable small invertebrates, such as jumping spiders. It is not a toy.

• Keep away from small children.
• Contains small magnets and small parts that can be swallowed.
• Swallowed magnets can cause severe internal injuries. Seek medical attention immediately if swallowed or inhaled.
• Keep the loose counter-magnet out of the reach of children.
• Regularly check the hide for cracks, damage, and loose magnets.
• Do not continue to use the product if components or magnets are loose or damaged.
• Check for a secure hold before introducing your animal.
