The magnetic SpoodScapes thermometer and hygrometer combines both measurement functions in one compact digital device. It helps you keep an eye on the conditions in the terrarium of your jumping spider or other terrarium animals.

The measuring device is already inserted into a color-selectable, 3D-printed mount. Integrated neodymium magnets and an external counter-magnet allow for attachment to suitable glass or acrylic walls. The batteries are already installed.

The functions in detail

Reading temperature and humidity

The digital device shows the temperature and relative humidity as a percentage. This allows you to monitor both values at the location of the measuring device and detect changes in the terrarium.

The device is for monitoring purposes. It does not regulate temperature or humidity and does not replace the need to adapt husbandry conditions to the needs of your animal.

Magnetic attachment

The mount is attached to the terrarium wall using the integrated neodymium magnets and the external counter-magnet. Tape, suction cups, or glue are not required for this.

The hold depends on the wall thickness and the texture of the terrarium wall. Before use, check that the device is securely attached.

Pre-assembled and ready for use

The thermometer and hygrometer are delivered already inserted in the mount. The batteries are pre-installed, so you can start checking the readings immediately after unpacking.

Choose the color of the mount to suit your terrarium. The compact design can be combined with various setups and themes.

Usage

• Choose a suitable spot in the terrarium where you can easily read the display.
• Place the mount on the inside and the counter-magnet on the outside of the terrarium wall.
• Carefully bring the magnetic parts together and check for a secure hold.
• Keep the ventilation and sensor openings of the measuring device clear.
• Allow the device to adjust to the conditions at the measurement location after insertion before evaluating the values.
• Check the displayed values regularly and adjust the husbandry conditions to suit your animal.

Temperature and humidity can vary within a terrarium. The display shows the conditions at the location of the measuring device.

Care and cleaning

• Clean the outside with a soft, dry, or slightly damp microfiber cloth.
• Do not submerge the device in water.
• Do not spray water or cleaning agents directly onto the display, sensor openings, or battery compartment.
• Do not use acetone, solvents, alcohol-based cleaners, or aggressive chemicals.
• Do not use scouring pads or hard brushes.
• Do not clean the product in the dishwasher.

Important notes

Humidity and placement

Protect the electronics from direct spray water and penetrating liquids. Place the device so that it is not sprayed directly when misting the terrarium.

Heat and sunlight

PLA is heat-sensitive and can deform when heated excessively. Keep the device away from direct sunlight, heat lamps, radiators, hot surfaces, and other strong heat sources. Excessive heat can also damage the display and electronics.

Product safety

This product is intended as an accessory for monitoring temperature and humidity in terrariums. It is not a toy.

Magnets and batteries

• Keep away from small children.
• Contains neodymium magnets and button cells.
• Swallowed magnets or button cells can cause serious internal injuries. Button cells can also cause severe internal chemical burns.
• If swallowed or suspected to have been swallowed, seek medical help immediately.
• Regularly check that the magnets and battery compartment are secure and inaccessible to the animal.
• Keep removed batteries and the loose counter-magnet out of the reach of children.

Safe operation

• Regularly check the mount and device for cracks, damage, and loose parts.
• Do not continue to use the product if it is damaged or if magnets or batteries are not held securely.
• Check the attachment before introducing your animal and after each repositioning.
• Also observe the operating and safety instructions of the included measuring device.

Due to the 3D printing process, fine layer lines, seams, or slight surface variations may be visible. These are typical characteristics of the production method.

The actual color may deviate slightly from the product images due to screen display settings, lighting, and different material batches.
